'SaltMarina' started with a singular vision: to offer genuine Neapolitan pizza to London. Established by the Rossi household in 1985, our pizza shop was originally a quaint, familial venture, relying on recipes passed down from our forebears.
Marco Rossi, our originator, mastered the art of pizza creation during her explorations in Italy, immersing herself in training with Naples' expert pizza chefs—the pioneers of pizza. Once back in the UK, her mission was to reproduce the essence of authentic Italian pizza, adhering to ancestral techniques with only the best ingredients.
Our journey began as a humble 12-seater pizza shop and has flourished into a cherished community fixture. Our dedication to excellence and originality endures. We’re still faithful to classic wood-fired oven methods, crafting our dough from scratch everyday, and opting for premium quality ingredients wherever possible.
Today, 'SaltMarina' is still a family enterprise, helmed by the next generation of the Rossis, who guide our fervent crew. Although we have welcomed some new techniques, at the core of our ethos is the unwavering quest to serve delightful, genuine pizza that unites guests.
